Rivas Primary School Improvements
Andean Alliance has provided funding and labor to assist with infrastructure improvements to the Rivas Primary School including electricity hook-ups, perimeter fencing, installation of a kitchen, shower and vegetable garden, structural improvements and the provision of desks, chairs and teaching materials.
Community Road Improvements
Andean Alliance provided cement and materials while local residents provided volunteer labor to improve several sections of the community access road.
Neighborhood Security Program
Andean Alliance has purchased and distributed handy radios to local residents to form a Neighbourhood Security Network. Community residents are able to call on each other for assistance at any time. The program has dramatically reduced the number of assaults and robberies in the area.
